From the beginning, the community grassroots issue identification process has been a cornerstone value of Superior Days. The process seeks to identify legislative and agency issues that are important to advancing Northwest Wisconsin. Issues proposed for Superior Days must meet this three part test:

  1. The issue is unique to NW Wisconsin, the issue has a disproportionate impact on NW Wisconsin compared to the rest of the state, or the economic impact of the issue has a disproportionate impact.
  2. The resources to resolve the issue exceed local resources.
  3. The issue has wide spread community consensus.

The issues, opinions, and ideas expressed by Superior Days delegates are the opinions of community grassroots advocates and not necessarily opinion or policy of UW Extension. UW Extension provides educational and facilitation services to Superior Days as part of educational programming.
